Funky. Soulful. Jazz. Fusion. Take another journey with Samuel Prather's Groove Orchestra, a history of dance music through the lens of jazz. This 10 track offering began shortly after the critical acclaim from 2014's "Groove Orchestra".

Five years later the final version was ready for release with appearances form many of the artists on the first record. Upright bassists Kris Funn (Kenny Garrett/Christian Scott) and Eliot Seppa ( Cecily Bumbray/Raul Midon) share the load at the bottom, while vocalist Christie Dashiell (Sweet Honey & the Rock/EJ Strickland) comes back for a rendition of the 90's classic "Can We Talk". Also returning is Shacara Rogers (Betty Carter Jazz Ahead) for a tribute to Chaka Khan.

There are also new faces like Deborah Bond and Warren Wolf who lend their talents to "Puttin on Ayers"; Wiley Brown makes an unforgettable tribute to his father the late Chuck Brown on "I'll Never Barry Marion". Also new to the album is Samuel as a lead vocalist, guitarist, and bassist. This album is a bigger window into the full range of talents he brings to the table as an artist.
